This is my first trip to San Francisco (well California actually) and I am in love!
My mom and I arrived on Monday at 9AM and we have been busy ever since we got here. We have seen so much already but it seems like I could be here for years and still not see everything. I created this little digital drawing of our stops so far. Day one and two are over with and we are off to Union Square, Chinatown, and as many vintage shops as we can find. Thrift It: Vol. 1
I have always loved thrifting, which is purchasing used items and re-using them in a new or different way.
Basically recycling goods that someone else has no more use for.
My mom and I have shared a passion for this and I can still remember the first auction she took me to.
I purchased an iMac (the first bubble desktop kind) for $1.
I finally sold it at my garage sale a couple years ago to a little girl who was ecstatic that she found it!
I am starting a series, I haven’t decided for how long yet, but I am going to do this every week. I want to share with you my “Thrift it” finds and show you new ways to recycle, transform or wear your “used items”.
Today I took photos with my new camera bag. I nabbed this baby at the Avera Thrift Store for $1.50!
